About me
Daisy has spent the bulk of her career in education and advocating for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. She has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, a Master of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a Master of Fine Arts from Hamline University, specializing in writing for children through young adults. She was incredibly honored to receive the 2023 Idaho Human Rights Educator of the Year Award by the Wassmuth Center for Human Rights. Shortly thereafter, Daisy was featured on a 2024 Get Caught Reading poster, sponsored by Every Child a Reader, featuring the book, Black Birds in the Sky: The Story and Legacy of the 1921Tulsa Race Massacre by award-winning author, Brandy Colbert.
Daisy currently writes full time, provides professional development for educators and writers and takes every opportunity to speak to audiences of all ages about making the world a kinder, better, safer place for ALL.
