About me

Daisy Rain Martin earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, California and a Master of Fine Arts in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota. She is a Southern Nevada Writing Project Fellow.

In 2023, Daisy was nominated and awarded the Idaho Human Rights Educator of the Year award from the Wassmuth Center for Human Rights.

In the fall, winter and spring, you can find her in the classroom teaching middle school English and Literature and providing professional development resources for educators and writers nationwide. In the summer, she is an avid gardener and practitioner of doorbell-ditching copious amounts of zucchini, tomatoes and cucumbers on her neighbor’s porches. She has yet to be caught.

You can always find Daisy Rain writing books for kids of all ages nearly every day of the year.
