Rob Scheer is one of this country's most remarkable #HopeGivers. He founded an organization called Comfort Cases so that children going into foster care would not have to suffer the indignity of packing their belongings in a trash bag. His organization provides backpacks that are filled with items that will help kids entering the foster care system through the first 24 hours. These include pajamas and a blanket, books, crayons, toiletries, and a WHOLE LOT OF LOVE!

In addition to being one of the kindest and most generous people I've ever known, Rob is also an author and motivational speaker. His book, A Forever Family: Fostering Change One Child At a Time, absolutely changed me. It chronicles his life aging out of the foster care system at 18 as well as adopting five children out of that same system who hadn't changed very much with a new generation of kids.

The day Rob asked me to be an ambassador for Comfort Cases for the state of Idaho was also life-changing, and I am still working to get these backpacks to every county in the state. You can help children going into foster care in your own state for as little as $10 a month! Just visit the Comfort Cases website and find out how!
